2022 FunGIS conference - Mapping on the move!

Share this event on:

When: September 15–16, 2022

Location: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 121-123 Esplanade, Cairns City QLD

We live in a world of mobile devices, big change and forward momentum. Our theme this year is 'Mapping on the Move!', aimed to capture a broad range of geospatial topics. From mobile data collection, to managing moving data, adapting to and driving change through maps, providing near-real-time solutions and solving spatial problems. Hear from a variety of interesting, creative forward thinkers in the spatial sphere at our annual 31st conference!

Our theme this year is Mapping on the Move!

In the fields of GIS and spatial sciences we are constantly adapting the way we map and manage data so that it can be consumed on small screens, or shows updates in near-real-time and can be leveraged for decision making.

We are finding ways to map intangible values, demonstrate and drive change across a variety of disciplines at local and global scales. We're tracking that change to make predictions and decisions about the future... and we can't wait to get together and share these stories, projects, challenges and triumphs with you!

This is our 31st annual conference

Our conferences feature speakers from across the spatial spectrum including government, academic, private industry and not-for-profit organisations all presenting on a wide-range of geo-related topics.

Visit Cairns during the best time of year! The venue, Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, is right on the glorious Esplanade and has a few rooms available at a special conference rate for delegates. Why not stay and make the most of it? Room and price options appear once you enter the dates via their website: www.hilton.com/en/hotels/cnsdcdi-doubletree-cairns

Network and meet other people in the local far north GIS community, we're a good bunch!

Looking forward to seeing you there!
