Ants - June 2016-19.jpg

They may be small, but keeping track of invasive yellow crazy ants is a big task! We need to know where they are, where they aren’t, and where to look next. From on-ground data collection to creating maps for meaningful management decisions and reporting on progress, GIS is pivotal to the process of eradication.

Join us on World GIS Day as Desiree Gowell from the Wet Tropics Management Authority takes us through her experience in data management, mapping and eradicating yellow crazy ants from the Cairns region.
