2017 Spatial Conference in Cairns

On Thu we will be challenged by the Queensland Police in Disaster Response and Search and Rescue. We'll then learn more about spatial information in the new Queensland Globe, mapping marine debris and 3D modelling -that's just in the morning. In the afternoon we'll look at how UAV's can be used in innovative agriculture and get a quickie on practical drone use. Fri will be focused on getting you trained up, flying and analysing the data that comes out of a semi-professional drone.

Monthly Mapping Meetup

A social evening where we get together to network, have a brief talk by a Spatial Angel and then share a drink, some nibbles and continue to network. Informal dinner arrangements will follow the meetup if you would like to keep networking. As the title suggests we will be looking to organise a meetup every month on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetups will rotate locations with every second meetup in Cairns. Other proposed locations are Tablelands and Innisfail.

The launch of the program will offer women in the industry the opportunity to come together in a relaxed and informal forum to present and discuss ideas over breakfast, followed by time for networking before work.
