About the Conference:
The FOSS4G State of the Map (SotM) Oceania Conference was planned to be an in-person international conference in Suva, Fiji. Unfortunately, travelling to Fuji was not an option in 2020 so FOSS4G organisers put together a hybrid event.
Being a hybrid online/in-person event, hubs were organised in cities across the region, from Perth in the west to Rarotonga in the east, and many places in between - including Cairns!
The conference had two components:
- A broadcast of keynote presentations from across the region that brought bright and thought-provoking ideas to the screen
- An in-person hub with presentations by people near you, and the opportunity to gather with friends and meet new geospatial practitioners from your area.
Here are the presentations from this event, including the broadcast videos from Oceania regional speakers and local presentations from Cairns!
