Tangaroa Blue - Tackling Marine Debris with Data!

At this MapChat we'll hear from Tangaroa Blue Project Officer, Mathilde Gordon, who will speak about the importance of data collection in monitoring the quantity and source of marine debris across the Great Barrier Reef.

Late last year, the 20 millionth item was entered into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative Database from clean-ups and monitoring events around the country.

Join us to hear both how this data is collected and how it’s used to create change!

This will be our first in-person MapChat since pre-covid times, looking forward to catching up!
